Vanessa loves her job, she really does—but sometimes she wonders if she works for robots instead of people.  They never seem to consider that people like Vanessa might have lives outside of work.  They’re an international company and business never seems to stop.
So when Vanessa’s boss set a meeting for the day before Thanksgiving at 3pm, Vanessa didn’t think anything of it.  At least she gets the actual holiday off, though she knows she’ll get emails and texts that she’ll have to deal with between bites of turkey.
But at the meeting, Vanessa’s boss drops a bomb on her—Vanessa is leaving on a work trip.  That’s no surprise, Vanessa travels a lot.  To Kazakhstan.  Not really a surprise, she’s been working on a deal with a large client in that country.  But the kicker?  She leaves Friday night.
Vanessa has never been anywhere like Kazakhstan before, and learns that she needs to get a vaccine against typhoid.  Her doctor is closed for the holiday and won’t reopen until Monday.  Thankfully, CityMD is open 365 days a year.  She stops in on the way to Thanksgiving at her sister’s and gets the vaccine that she needs.  Now all she has to do is pack!
